The D.O. students spend their first year working afternoons in the TGIF Café.  The café is open each Friday and serves the public. It is often filled to capacity by hungry students, teachers and staff.  In this program, students learn all aspects of running a public restaurant, which includes learning how to design weekly menus, order and shop for necessary food, prepare the entire Friday menu, wait on customers and bus tables, run the cash register and clean the kitchen.
